Out There and In Here: A One Day Retreat

Join with me to explore the words of the Teacher in Ecclesiastes who wrote, “God has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). We will spend our time together contemplating why longing for connection to something (or someone) bigger than ourselves comes with the kit of being human. And it is precisely this longing for connection to something “out there” that has the power to lead us within, causing us to see what is “in here.” Through teaching, discussion and wandering outdoors we will take a step together toward understanding our core identity, one that is “hidden in the Christ.”

What Is It?
Out There and In Here is a one day retreat for us to explore together why so many have a longing for connection to something (or someone) bigger than ourselves comes. We will spend our time together outdoors in discussion and wandering in nature considering how it may help us see our deeper connection to this world that is held together by the life of Christ. Through this we will take on step toward understanding our deeper identity as those made in the image of God.

What will we do and talk about?
+ The intent of spiritual practice
+ The interconnectedness of all things
+ A guided wander in nature
+ The reality of Divine Nearness
+ And anything YOU ask about

When will we begin and end?
April 24, 2021, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

What will we do?
We will spend time in discussion and then enjoy extended time of solitude and silence while wandering in nature.

We will be outside?
Yes! An email will follow with what to bring

How much does it cost?
$39

Are there group or couple discounts?
No, we are intentionally keeping this a small, intimate, low-cost event. For this to work, it is a flat fee for all who join with us.

Can we bring kids?
No. Childcare will not be available.

How many people will be there?
20 Max. This allows us to be heard and seen and known. And it means space is limited!

What if I reserve a spot but am unable to attend?
Sorry, no refunds, but you will have a spot on a future retreat. However, if things are cancelled specifically due to COVID restrictions, refunds will then be available

Is there anything more I should know?
We don’t believe there is. Of course, there is always a good chance we’ve missed something. If that’s the case, send on an email and ask!
